The cold brew method involves steeping coffee grounds in cold water, which makes the coffee smoother and less acidic than hot coffee, but requires about 8 hours of brewing time.
Although some aromas may be less prominent, cold brew coffee lasts longer. While outside cafes often use lower quality beans, at home we can choose better beans to make clean and delicious cold brew coffee.
💡 Small tip:
It's recommended to choose medium-roasted washed beans, or naturally/honey processed beans that are not heavily fermented, to avoid excessive fermentation flavor from prolonged steeping.
Personal recommendation: 🇪🇹 Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Gesha beans work particularly well for cold brew!
